For those of you who appreciate the technologies associated with the forthcoming new order of energy post Peak Oil ... there is some considerable interest in a competing process to the WW2 era Fischer Tropsch diesel from coal process ... called Thermal Depolymerization ....

It is a new'ish technology that is gaining traction mainly in the US so far ... but appears to be licensed elsewhere.
