Based on the fact that the company is doing a ring-around calling all the people I know who havent taken up the SPP, I think the answer is no, people are not taking up the offer.
During previous spp's they have never called anyone that I am aware of despite lack of participation then.
They maybe doing a last minute ring around in a desperate attempt to fully fund the 4m. It wont look very good if they cant fully sell out the issue.
The problem with Spp's is that from when you send off the cheque, you can be stuck with shares that are declining in value that youre unable to sell until they finally hit your account.
Given the small premium to market its easier to buy on market IMO.
