    I don't know much about SPP, but I would doubt BP would be a partner as BP has gone all "clean and green" to try and negate the image of a being a polluting oil producer. As the greens are rabidly against SPP because of the energy requirements needed to produce oil from shale, BP would be going against its attempts to project a green image.
