    Sadly, in Australia the role of small investors is to provide funds to de-risk the technology, orebody, hydrocarbon reserves etc - whether it's biotech, oil and gas, hard rock mining etc.

    Once done, the risk-averse insto's etc are invited in to enjoy the spoils. There doesn't seem to be a solution.
