"like holding a ball under water with a lot of effort" – yes, and that makes it really difficult to decide what to do. If I commit my trading funds to a SPP that seems almost certain to be scaled back, by the time I get my refund the market price could be through the ceiling. And today's action makes it even tougher because the more the share price lifts the higher the probability of over-subscription.
This is a very frustrating and awkward share purchase plan for the market! I don't like it very much.
