If the expected horizon for the hydrocarbon resource to be used up is some 100 years or more of current usage as has been proposed the new "peak-oil singularity" is so far into the future that it is akin to you having cold sweats at night about the sun dying in a few billion years...

We have time to keep up the research into new energy sources rather than this current forced greenie death-march into unworkable unreliable, weather dependent 15th century windmills and unworkable, unrleiable, weather dependent solar pv and insane economic/industrial destruction with cash-strip-mining carbon-dioxide taxes...

in the late 60's and early 70's the developed world attempted an energy transition to nuclear generated electricity that was planned at that time to be too cheap to meter...

This transition was blocked by the greenie groups of the time which of course leads us directly to our continuing dependence on hydrocarbon energy supplies and the unstable third-world dictatorships where much of it has bee found till now...

The few countries that ignored the greenie lobby groups like France, now generate some 80% of their electricity from nukes and indeed even have a profitable business exporting electricity to neighboring countries hobbled by greenie wacko groups...

Nuclear power has been "evolved" and mature for at least the past 50 years and continues to "evolve and mature" albeit in a low profile mode.

The ongoing scare campaign of the greenie groups is what continues to block any sensible deployement and even the fear of doing any major upgrades/relocatios that would give the greenies ammuntion to launch a fresh activism campaign might even be part of the many technical reasons for the Fukushima accidents after the massive earthquake...

Wake up to reality and try to keep your head our of your dreams and fantasies for a few minutes...
