Rampage, I said in an earlier post that while fossil fuels are relativly cheap there is little incentive for alternative energy but that is changing.
Couple of examples;
Sand oil was not viable untill the price of oil hit $60-80 a barrel
home solar was not viable 10 years ago, became viable with subsidies and now with higher electricty cost, inprovments in technology and production has become viable without subsidies.
A lot of innvovation and invention is born out of nessesity, with fossil fuels being a finite resourse and will become more expencive things like Bio-hydrogen become more viable
