We all see attempts at market manipulation frequently. Like a 1c share where a buyer buys 132 shares to raise the SP by 1 pip. So $1.32 order is processed. There seems to be a focus in the pre and post market periods where only a bot could respond instantly. No human could respond to changes instantly. H/E in MAY’s case , we should be in a much higher price bracket where such manipulations aren’t evident. So whether there is or isn’t significant occurrences is really a secondary issue. The view that the SP is deliberately being held down is counter intuitive. The failure to deliver is far more likely a cause and the solution would swamp any such attempts.So I see these arguments as irrelevant.
