Current price of gold is $1350 AUD. You want it to be $1473 for Spring Hill mining to be feasible. With the price of gold expected to fall further, how does this affect the numbers? To maintain $1473 AUD, either gold needs to make a miraculous recovery to the upside (not the concensus view) or the AUD needs to fall through the floor against the USD (more of a possibility).
Either way, the company is relying on a very narrow range of market conditions outside it's control to form a decision.
