Thanks @hotpasty, I must admit shorting is not something that I look at. I agree that there is a concerted effort to hold the stock down or manipulate the price however if there is a corporate raider looking to make a bid on ADT every share bought at these levels is going to be a significant gain for them. Balancing the vwap for any offer with the desire to buy as many shares as possible pre bid is a juggle in itself. I personally believe that any genuine takeover attempt would be of the understanding that $3.80 isn't going to cut the mustard. I understand that this may be part of the strategy to then up the offer so shareholders feel like they have got more even though the original offer is unrealistic. In saying that I can see this running higher at the moment with a sell down later to work the vwap prior to any bid, should that occur.
It is all crystal balling but happy to be a shareholder in a company with such good assets and quality management. Bring on some more of the Serbia results!
