Intellectual property law firm Spruson & Ferguson is expected to be in front of investors by the end of the week, but this time it will present as the rebranded IPH Limited.
IPH was registered as an Australian company in April and its four directors include Spruson & Ferguson managing principal David Griffith, chief financial officer Nicholas Carson and principals Robert Miller and Greg Turner.
IPH is also listed to present to investors at Morgans Financial’s annual Queensland conference on October 9. As first reported by Street Talk, Morgans and Bell Potter Securities are preparing IPH for its $300 million ASX-listing.
Fund managers in Sydney and Melbourne expect the pre-IPO roadshow to be underway by the end of the week. The company has already met with investors a handful of times in the past 12 months.
Spruson & Ferguson is an intellectual property law firm founded in 1887. The group has a team of more than 300 people, including patent attorneys, trademark attorneys and intellectual property lawyers.
It is seeking to list to allow the firm’s principals to take some money off the table and provide access to equity capital should it wish to embark on an acquisition spree.
