No - most people fail because they have short term investment horizons. Days, weeks, months. They hope to double their money to help pay for (insert new toy / house etc here) and then find that because the market can be / and is manipulated they are in the red. Then when the partner still expects to get the new car you sell for a loss. That is gambling.
TA can be and is manipulated. If you know people are looking in the rearview mirror you can manipulate those targets that TA looks at.
What is more difficult, but makes you more money in the long run, is to invest in a company after doing your research, buy into it over time and hold your nerve. Averaging both up and down. If something unexpected happens or comes to light, make a decision at that point. Too many people make a decision on the SP movement alone. ie TA and sell for losses.
