True, they need to build and position fast (but fast $ results maybe a bit hard right now for this BNPL competitor)

    just some rambling thoughts:

the future of credit cards and Splitit is linked IMO; right now every person and their dog is handing out interest free credit (pending where you live)- this isn't going to change short term, driven by govt to stimulate economy short term and also please a new generation that thinks they are doing something cool.. (avoid those evil credit cards their parents and banks etc told them to do).

the value proposition of the BNPL is to bring merchants new customers fast and to give them a new credit source and to make it easy to make repayments and to remove credit risks from the merchant for a tight fee (the more that fee is directed at the consumer(fees for bad payments for example), the more the merchant likes). the key is to convince the consumer they are getting free credit (unlike evil credit card providers who charge interest).

..and this is exactly what SPT and large credit card providers must combat (the BNPL threat/change).

The details of the deals SPT has with the existing credit card providers isn't being revealed as it's literally how the big existing credit card providers intend to defeat/compete with these new establishing providers (it may/should be adaptive) - Splitit providing the tech layer. it's the points, rewards and methods (merchant benefits like split its payments to source providers) which SPT must work with credit card providers closely. It must bring more value to merchants as well which is maybe unexpected (think a bit harder about what merchants can gain longer term to sign them) or reduce costs (I suspect the more value to merchants will be coming soon)

invest in SPT is a long term investment that you believe credit card providers have a plan, that SPT is part of that plan and that a "credit is free everywhere" climate change is unsustable and will change... well at least a bit

short term Splitit has opportunities to jump into markets/countries where the BNPL thing hasn't yet taken off -- this is the short term rush part agreed --- but it's not where the big money is to be had (but yeah if will help short term SP).

It's a struggle with SPT as we can't see what the plans are (as they don't want to tip off competitors); so it's a faith kind of investment ... which makes it a very speculative stock but with ridiculous potential when you really think about it.

it feels a bit like big credit card providers are waiting for the right time to make the real moves -- and SPT is getting ready -- but who knows
