the type of person who will not use SPT at checkout to split their payments is also the same person who will not sign up to an Afterpay/ZIP service for the exact same reason, and is therefore not the type of customer this whole industry is targeting.
The customer this industry is targeting is one who wants an item but doesn't want to pay upfront. Someone who wants the $1000 Dyson vacuum but wants it in smaller manageable instalments.
The question here is, if you were given the option would you rather sign up for a short term loan or use the existing limit on your credit card?
I like this stock because I like the customer experience, the simplicity. I think the product is very sticky, once someone experiences Splitit the first time I feel it is something they will use wherever possible over our competitors. The challenge now is to grow the wherever because they have built the possible.
