Was thinking that one of the other parties, NOT spx, would initiate the settlement,ie one of two people named and/or the stockbrokers named. Wouldn't they also be invoving their insurers. There may be also substantial holders with big pockets wishing vmc to walk . These other parties may be prepared to pay-up to vmc on condition it withdrew its litigation completely.
Suppose time will tell. Implitcations should this occur?
