    The penny is going to drop soon, that in the salars, arid + evaporative areas, water / brine is finite, it doesn't replenish from a catchment etc etc and who knows what effect removing 1000s of litres of that brine has on the underlying geology and surrounding surface
    The irony is that it could actually cause an environmental catastrophe in those areas if SQM, ALB etc 'ramp up' too much or if salars become exploited unsustainably.. for a metal that is supposed to be the alternative to fossil fuels
    The salars are already a fairly inhospitable zone but could become like a 'wasteland'
    Geo political / sovereign risk I believe is higher than people are factoring in because when these govts ie CHILE start to crunch the real data, it may mean very unfavourable outcomes for south american salar/brine lithium
    Aust hard rock in the box seat, but they also need water and lots of it.. mining is inherently water intensive but one would expect PLS, KDR, GXY etc to have to meet rigorous EIS on water supply..
    Hopefully they can get this right
