US payments giant Square has bid $US29 billion ($A39b) in all scrip for buy now, pay later group Afterpay.
The bid values Afterpay at $126.61 a shares and Square will have a secondary listing on the ASX. Afterpay’s board has unanimously recommended the offer of 0.375 Square shares for every Afterpay share.
We've now seen the first HUGE Acquisition for the BNPL Sector.
This is a huge positive in my opinion.
Don't forget IOU in Malaysia did soft-launch in the time of Covid (Where it is must stricter than AUS) & they still were able to achieve such numbers....
Can't wait to see what lies ahead!
