    Your question was exactly what I want to tell dascore when I looked at his/her chart.
    I think the time axis (x-axis) needs to be associate with price/index axis (y-axis), e.g., %. Otherwise, as you mentioned, the geometric shape will change whenever you change any scale of the axes.
