Even if absolutely no one sold then the offers will get higher and higher until someone eventually decides to.
SP can't just stay at one price with no new bids and offers, if we were in bizarro world where this did happen then the short still need to cover so they could bid it up all by themselves....
the ponzie scheme that the shorts have implemented over the last 12 months has no doubt been a very good plan for those at the top filling their pockets, but it is a just another pyramid scheme and eventually all pyramid schemes collapse under their own weight. IMO this will be no different. 
IDK if this will be the trigger or if it gets triggered in 2022 by something else but I can guarantee that it will happen. 
For the sheer amount of shorts to get out without their game collapsing GXY would probably have to go bankrupt...
