BUT
the best advice for your local conditions will come from Face Book and their Squid groups
as with squiding most people will freely exchange and help another squid hunter
some suggestions that might help
fish from half to full tide
ONLY fish in the cleanest water possible as squid hate dirty water
Jigs, start with Yamashita
colours, red mainly in the daylight with white at night.... this is generally
use about 10lb braid.. this produces a far better hook-up rate
connect the braid to about 1 meter of fluorocarbon about 10/12lb b/s and then the smallest clip or direct connection to your jig

Squid hunting is not like any other form of fishing it is a technical kind of fishing which makes it super interesting to anybody who wants to think........ IF YOU want to catch just more than the odd Squid
