Dare say that is imported squid from one of the Asian countries, some of it is just ok but crap compared to local fresh stuff.
Squid caught around perth WA metro is some of the best and hence it sells for top dollar.
Doesn't seem like that it was that long ago that us wogs were the only ones that ate squid and it mostly sold as bait
