I'm no expert on rail infrastructure, but I'm sure there would be ways of upgrading the capacity without having to build the whole line from scratch again. I would imagine one way would be to create more passing sections along the rail route.
I'm sure that the studies being carried out on the rail line will provide suggestions for increasing capacity.
The negotiations with the port authority will be interesting. I'm interested to see what tonnage allocations they can secure, and whether the port authority would allow EQX to gain further tonnage allocations if the company agreed to help fund upgrades to the port. Again, these funds would come from free cash flow generated by the sale of DSO.
