From another site Sirtex is shaping as our FIFTH successful biotech . Its recent rise from the $1-2 to $4.20 today , has been nothing but spectacular .
The company has a product/solution which doctors in the USA have been using apparantely successfully .
Sirtex announced today a maiden profit of $40000 for the Sept Q on sales of $1318000 . The profit at this stage is completely insignificant future indicator . However the sales for Sept Q and October were announced ( unit wise ) : 54 n 30 respectively .
This suggests an average price of $24400 per unit . Let's assume sales over 12 months of 400 units = just under $10m revenue at gross margin of 82% = $8m . I'd say that its EPS will be around the $2m ( 25% ! )
The company has 54.3m shares . The EPS will show less than 4c . At $4.20 you are buying 100 price/earnings stock .
Of course this is not a professional analysis . It also uses numbers that are - at best - can be viewed as closely related to today's announcement on the last 4 months of sales . I do not know the true potential of sales . 400 or 4000 or 40000 units ? or even more . Would be very interested to know the target realistic figure .
When SRX numbers will be clearer this share could immulate its formers like COH n CSL . If not it could sink as many did in the past . Anyone there has got a proper info / research about SRX ?
