Tin now busting $43k. How do you feel about that?
Tin's three-month price reached $43,000 per tonne on Wednesday, a new record peak for the soldering metal on the LME. "I think the reason things are looking like this is because Indonesia has not got the licenses resolved," one tin trader said earlier on Wednesday.
No one can deny that Tin had a great run last year. Up by about 89%. But this year, Tin which is experiencing the longest squeeze of any metal in history, it could get even tighter. Because no one globally has solved the short, medium or long-term issues, and no one has a credible plan to solve the short, medium or long-term issues either.
Plenty of news to come.
