Being a long term holder, I have for some time held the belief that this could be a possibility. Firstly, I hope we produce this resource in our own right to gain better shareholder returns but it would be prudent for our neighbour to look at the bigger picture, create suitable synergies & a bigger entity (without a current partner involved). Although I am an existing MLX share holder (bought this stock for the possible takeover consideration & also due to the price distress before Nifty disposal), their possible cash position could be $100 million for the next quarter ???? (it is rapidly increasing especially getting into the higher grades later this year - gives them options for expansion of some sort??). I have also been waiting for both companies to bring out their latest data on Rentails & our current resource (both due this half ???) so projects can be compared - my gut feeling is that Renison (60 mil capex?) will be well ahead of Rentails (200 mil capex?) but there are multiple scenarios. Renison payback could be closer to one - two years at these prices ?? My main hope for the moment is that our drill hits high grade mineralisation or the possible pluton in phase 2 drilling. I have previously mentioned this possibility on both forums of a takeover - merger ?? but there was scepticism from a few (without genuine basis). Happy to be patient & see what transpires. GLTAH
