    Sorry to disappoint you, but IMO it is already a done deal.

    The Coalition govt. has handed over victory to the 'Yes' camp thru the postal voting system - and its open to abuse.
    It's like they what the issue out off the way and start concentrating on more important issues.

    The pro SSM group tactics has been to minimise public participation in voting on this issue.

    Thats is why they were pestering the politician's to have only parliament make the decision on this issue - a quite a number of politicians are homosexual and other aren't prepared to represent their electorates wishes.

    The SS group know that apathy gives them an extra advantage for their cause. If it's not compulsory many Australians will not bother to vote or seriously think about this issue.

    Basically, Ireland proved the added advantage of apathy, less than 40% of eligible voters actually bothered to vote(?)
    At least they had a referendum and voted according to their normal voting rules.

    Which was denied by our opposition!
