I would think the postal vote would favour the for SSM side myself? There are a big number who could vote either way because they mostly don't give a hoot so would be unlikely to bother voting. I would think there are probably more people frothing at the mouth in favour than those frothing against. The problem is, whichever side wins, it needs to win properly so the other has no reason to complain. A compulsory plebiscite or a plebiscite at an election so at least every voter has to turn up and get their name crossed off and hopefully an ID check at the time. That way, it's a simple democratic vote.
