We've had the 'debate' in various public fora for many years now. Every possible grievance - from the tenuous & vague "marriage is the bedrock of our society and therefore letting gays marry will ruin society... somehow" to the moronic and bigoted "gay marriage will lead to bestiality" (thanks Cory) - has been aired a thousand times by this stage.

We don't need any more phony 'debate'. What we need is to pass it as soon as possible in accordance with the people's wishes, put the whole matter behind us, and move on to frankly much more important matters.
