These people grew up in a time where wages vs housing prices were so low they had much greater potential to save money then the current generation.
You mean the older generation who earned about $100 a week, and had to pay $10 for a crappie plastic lamp shade and still managed too save and pay off a house - normally living on a single wage.
MacDonalds and Target’s toy department are good indicators of gauging the hardships of modern family then the so called Economist.
If they can’t save it’s because of their own stupidity!
