It always strikes me as bizaar that despite the options offering significant additional leverage they often get overlooked by some buyers. With heads currently at 11.5c and options at 9.5c and a 1.5c exercise price surely if you were lining up to buy stock today you would take the 5% discount that the options are trading at and get the extra leverage as a bonus. Its a double win really.
The above said, either stock type is proving profitable for new and old investors alike. Maybe it's just me but I chose the 6% promotional term deposit over the 5% default one. Same goes for stocks. Both pay and they certainly aint equal.
Looks like the market has now sorted out the price difference. Just have no idea why people volunteer to pay an extra half a cent per share for no reason.
