Well having listened to the RIU video for about the 5th time....thanks again GH and now FAR, I think its most likely not going to be a drill ship that gets our gig IMO. CN clearly states that its the equivalent to a 7th generation.
So going by that the only one I can find that is warm stacked is the SSV Caterina built in 2012 put into service in 2013 the same year as Athena.
As I have said before if the Athena is part of the contract between COP and WPL then it looks like one of them will be paying for that whilst drilling with another ship and paying 35% of that one also. I still maintain its the reason CNE stopped short of connectivity testing. They realised they were going to be railroaded into a more expensive drilling option if WPL became operator. AIMO
I have been wondering if this could work beautifully for FAR. If this programme is 3 wells starting in November, 2 tested and 1 not, then about 150 days it will finish and that will be mid March roughly.
The timing here could be perfect for a couple of wells into Dijeffere keeping the rig working for another 2-3 months at a bargain rate. DB
