I think it would be fair to say that any retrace in the aussie dollar will occur with a retrace in gold if it is to eventuate... ie should things settle down across the globe. US have passed big cuts and UK are implementing, both will rally towards the back half of the yr and that will bring the battler back in line... gold may stay up with the middle east tensions and european dept concerns that just dont appear to be going away anytime soon.
A good half yearly report will set SBM off with the wind..
