I have done some research and I think this is a hidden gem on the ASX.
There are not a lot of avenues for retail investors to participate in global private equity deals. The way PE1 invests is diversified and should return a fairly stable return of 10%+ per annum after fees.
Reminds me of the Partners Group Global Value Fund which has a very smooth return profile and did not have large drawdowns even during the GFC. The fund actually went up despite the market selling off in the December quarter. The problem is to access that fund you are required to purchase a minimum of $1m.
PE1 should be quite similar - invested in mid-sized private equity deals across different industries. The return on offer should be resilient. The 5% valuation uplift immediately due to the incentive stock is an added bonus.
