Employee incentive options with a strike price of $0. This is utter bs.
Unlike a lot of other stocks in the tech space, MDR has been floundering the last 2 years. That is a risk investors take and I am happy (well, not really happy) to cop that. Investing was my call so I am not going to blame anyone else for my own investment decisions.
I am also happy for staff to get incentive stock if there is an improvement in share price (or for them to get stock options at staggered levels in "out of the money" options). Reward Results. Just giving free stock to people for showing up each morning is ridiculous, unnecessarily dilutes current shareholders and provides no incentive whatsoever.
By way of example, if the stock halves in value, these employees still get a free kick. In the meantime, all current investors will have done 50% of their actual cash investment.
This really ticks me off.
Is there any oversight being provided by this board of directors (or is it just easier to avoid conflict)?
