Outside of property, what asset inflation? The XJO was 6700ish in 2007, it's 7500 now, just over 10% in a bit over 15 years, that's not even kept up with inflation. And that is besides the point anyway, there would be plenty of families in the top bracket on a single income who don't have the spare money to invest after mortgage payments, private school fees(saving the tax payer a LOT) etc etc As demonstrated by Canavan, the top bracket should be at least $250k now, Albo playing the politics of envy card, it'll bite him on the bum imo, I don't think Australians on average as jealous numpties, I think there's still the aspirational spirit in this country

regardless, you are advocating for an unprecedented injection of liquidity only the economically incompetent could advocate for an 'injection' of liquidity to the group who are spending like troopers amidst an apparent 'cost of living' crisis
