I e-mailed Dr Elliot yesterday to see how the submission to the NHC went from an LCT perspective and whether there were any critics - he advised there were some and LCT were easily able to counter there criticisms. He seems very confident.

Also advised that the next Russian patient would be implanted with the higher dose in Nov-08 with the remaining patients a month apart after that, however it takes 8-14 weeks to judge any response to the treatment. There was also a suggestion that the dosage may increase in Russia to 15000 IEQ / Kg in the near future depending on the NZ trial submission.

The proposal from the NHC was sent to The NZ Health Minister on 06.06 so we should hear whether the trials can go ahead tomorrow if all things go well, although I believe the press release said the decision would be made on or after 08.08 which isn't very helpful...either way shouldnt be too far away.
