my view is that the world needs to move a lot faster in the adoption of VRFB tech but once a grid scale monster battery shows profitability and reliability, adoption will speed up. Unfortunately China despite leading the way on infrastructure projects, lack any kind of financial opacity which means we probably need that grid scale battery to happen in a western country before western institutions really pay attention and we can get real world figures that governments & the markets can depend on to aid progress imho.
Coates could put a rocket up the clacker though and that’s fun to dream about in the meantime.
so it’s a long hold.
