To follow on the breakevens analysis from UBS
RIO: $US43 per tonne
BHP: $US45 per tonne
FMG: $US72 per tonne
AGO: $US82 per tonne
BCI: $US70 per tonne
GBG: $US91 per tonne
Past analysis have suggested that a $1 movement to IO is worth $120 million to RIO an BHP either way. Factor in exchange rate and it gets a bit more complicated.
So what to make of this, $100 + for IO FMG is still earning quite a bit of money. This morning on Bing Finance FMG is trading at a forward P/E of 4. Clearly not expensive.
