Hi,

Am looking at tranfering some of my shares brought via broker to my SMSF. CHESS number starts with X so broker sponsered.

Am told I can transfer to my name then get registry group to transfer to my super. Option two is broker can transfer direct to my super.

I can take the capital loss against my portfolio once moved to super.

Broker said stamp duty may be payable. How do I work out if it is and how much? How do I avoid it?

How do I work out what price I transfer at? Told I can chose a price over the past 3mths not sure if that's right.
