Interesting post Schmunzel. Don't know about the accuracy of your data and you haven't stated its source, nevertheless it's good to see analytical work on this forum.
Appears to show the short volume is more stable than the share price. Also that there is little corelation between outstanding shorts and the share price.
My view is that tracking the amount of shorts in a stock is not useful for trading purposes and I've always ignored it. Your charts seem to validate that view.
