As you say, a Sedco loss has already been figured in to the current price. (See investor summary of 16/7/13 - Lowest implied equity value $143m, share cap $105m against a "High estimate" of $2,581m).

However, if NXS lose, I expect there will still be a further hit on the sp even though it's already accounted for. It will be another opportunity for shorters to push the price down in an atmosphere of depression.

If NX wins, it increases the implied equity value by somewhere around 5c per share - but given the history of NXS I wouldn't expect it to rise that much, maybe a spike but it will likely be knocked back by traders & large institutions who have motives which are somewhat incomprehensible to smaller retail investors. I guess we just have to hope that NXS wins out, or doesn't lose too badly in the court case.
