Coking Coal is now selling for $104/ton v $280 just over 2 yrs ago. WES have their huge open cut mine east of Emerald and 40% share in another. Mine has gone from incredibly profitable to break even yet the goodwill on WES books remains over 3 BILLION. Watch for a big writedown in coming months. My estimate: 1.5Billion.
Coles is firing as is Kmart. But SP likely to remain under some pressure imo. Don't have a position but watching closely.
