Well they've appealed to just about everyone trying to keep this issue alive and in the press.
Listening to the ABC 'real media download' the rhetoric (from both the NGOs and the ABC) has softened somewhat, hopefully our correspondence influenced them in some small way to show them there assertions were not going to be left unquestioned.
The whole issue of AVMs direct culpability seems to have been dropped, now they're just complaining that there's been a backlash. I wonder how many of those protestors were Anvil workers or family members supported by Anvil workers or other persons that are reliant on Anvil continuing to operate the mine.
If some third party was agitating to close down my place of employment for questionable motives I'd be pretty upset too. In the interview though they were obviously 'paid by the government' to protest.
