"the market does not believe the story"

There are times to follow the crowd, and times to depart from it... We don't want to fall into the trap of selling low, buying high. "The market" in my experience is often wrong in the short term - or rather, it cannot be summarized in the aggregate; simple price discovery describes tensions, not agreement. What is really happening behind the price is more complex and involves different parties with different motivations and intentions. Often it appears "the market" has "decided" something, only for it to then tack in another direction. Already we've seen CNJ be oversold and rebound, so it would appear the market made a decision and then changed its "mind".
