Stanmore have survived, not sure if they have prospered yet. They now have a producing asset and are therefore exposed to movements in coal prices. The coal they mine is not premium quality and will therefore not get the same prices as premium coking coal but will be priced relative to the premium coals. The spot indexes for premium Australian coking coal have moved from around USD 95.00 in mid July to USD 140.00 at the end of August. As Brisbane said it is all about price momentum.
