Yes casmack you are probably right, they would have been working on this deal for a considerable length of time. As I have experienced in the past doing a deal with any govt. dept. takes a lot of patience and the time obviously varies with the importance of the deal. By the time each section of the govt dept involved has there say and is passed onto the next in line and it goes on.

Maybe the option with the convertible notes were an insurance in case the deal with Stanwell failed. Thank goodness it hasn't and we are on track for a major boost in SP probably sooner than later. Here's hoping anyway.

I also agree with you the deal at hand would be very hard to beat.

Now with Icon management having got there act together who knows what else could happen in 2009.
