Senior counsel for The Star replied to Ms Sharp SC that he referrred the matter of whether Chinese clientel who were subject to being unable to return to China due to NSW State imposed covid border closures would be now considered has having resident status for tax purposes . . . the answer was no, they are not to be considered as residents for tax purposes.
