I saw an idiot on here the other day who was talking about the 'guts' and 'courage' of the British

they don't have the guts to move out of the 19th century.

You obviously have never lived in England. Yeah, maybe back in the day though.
Things have changed for sure, but British people were proud, patriotic and tough. But not without compassion.

I recently lost my father in law who was going on for 100 years old. He served in the navy in WW11.
Even though quite disabled he still carried on collecting donations on Poppy Day.

I am proud as a British/Australian person, that they did not surrender to Angela Merkel.
