Europe’s biggest zinc mine, Tara Mines in Co Meath, could miss out on a profit surge this year after the price of the base metal hit a 15-year high due to the war in Ukraine.
Metals prices including nickel, copper and tin have soared in the past couple of weeks due to concerns about supply disruptions after Russia launched its invasion.
