However...
The biggest problem an addict faces, is the inability to recognised that they have an addiction. Until that issue is resolved, there is no hope of curing an addict.
The problems arising from addiction is not about the addict themselves, but more-so to do with how their behaviour affects others; the pain and suffering endured by the people around them. These are the real victims of addiction.
